In Shchuchynshchyna, Industrial Production of Mushroom Spawn Has Begun
In Belarus, industrial production of substrate with mycelium for growing champignons has begun. A new plant opened in the village of Yanchuki, Shchuchyn district, writes Times.by.

The enterprise will produce so-called "mushroom spawn" — a special nutritious substrate inoculated with champignon mycelium, which is then supplied to mushroom farms for further cultivation of mushrooms.
Production is organized on a closed-loop principle. Local straw and poultry waste, which are processed into organic fertilizer, are used for substrate preparation. Mycelium is then introduced into the nutrient medium, resulting in a ready-made base for growing champignons.
The technological process requires strict control of temperature and sterility. According to the project developers, this reduces the risk of crop loss and increases the efficiency of mushroom-growing farms.
It is planned that the enterprise will ship about 360 tons of finished substrate weekly, or approximately 19 thousand tons annually.
The project was implemented with the participation of a private investor and with state support. 25 permanent jobs have been created for the operation of the new complex. Production has a high level of automation.
