Siarhei Stasenka is 65 years old. He is from the village of Lahuny, Dobrush district. This is a small village on the border with Russia and close to the Ukrainian border. A railway passes nearby towards the Ukrainian city of Horodnia, and a military airfield is located there.

According to Belpol, the man previously managed the company "Belavtomatikaservis", which repairs measuring instruments, but resigned in 2014. Later, Siarhei managed the design organization "Remkotlapraekt" and owned his own company "TermoStyle", which dealt with insulation works.

Since 2018, he worked as an insurance agent for "Beldziarzhstrakh" in the Homel region.

Lately, Siarhei might have been working in Russia — he had accounts and an address there.

The last time Stasenka was online was in November 2025 — he joined a community about road conditions in Homel then. Shortly after, he was arrested.

The man was tried in the Homel Regional Court for a whole series of allegedly uncompleted crimes, as all charges are related to attempts. The list includes an attempt to create an extremist formation, attempted treason, illegal handling of weapons, as well as attempts at an act of terrorism and intentional incapacitation of railway tracks.

Given that all this happened around the village of Lahuny, which is located not far from the border and important transport infrastructure, it is likely another case of a railway partisan.

The exact prison term is unknown, but the man faced up to 20 years in prison.
