According to the official, the necessary volumes of products are planned to be obtained through domestic production, as well as supplies from partner countries.
At the same time, one of the main tasks for the Belarusian agricultural sector remains the increase of exports. Special attention will be paid to the production of products with high added value, deep processing of raw materials, as well as the development of breeding, genetics and veterinary technologies.
Shevtsova noted that after the change in international trade flows, Belarus reoriented a significant part of its foreign trade from Western markets to countries in the East and South. In particular, supplies of food products to China, the Persian Gulf countries and Southeast Asia have significantly increased.
During this discussion, it was also stated that the level of food self-sufficiency in Belarus allegedly exceeds 95 percent, which is one of the highest indicators among the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
