Drone exploded in the Romanian port of Constanța
A naval drone exploded this morning in the port of Constanța, Romania. It happened near the headquarters of the Romanian Naval Rescue Agency.
«The naval drone is of the type used in the war in Ukraine. We would like to note that this object is not part of the armament of the Romanian army and did not participate in recent exercises organized by the Ministry of National Defense in the Black Sea region,» — the Romanian Ministry of Defense stated.
The drone was detected this morning. Later it exploded. No one was injured. The area has been cordoned off. The port has been evacuated.
Recall that last week a Russian drone fell and exploded on the roof of a house in Galați, Romania. On the same day, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it was closing the Russian consulate in Constanța.
