Eurovision winner came to the comments of Kirkorov, who also attributed the victory to himself
The Russian singer published a long post in which he stated that Bulgaria won this year's Eurovision Song Contest thanks to him. The contest winner, Dara, came to the comments section of his post and challenged his claims.

Kirkorov illustrated his post with an image of a Trojan horse with his face. He stated that Bulgaria had not participated for six years due to a lack of funds at its public broadcaster BNT. Therefore, in 2025, he allegedly met with the TV and radio operator's general director Emil Koshlukov and found an unnamed investor who paid for Bulgaria's participation, writes "Hromadske" citing the Bulgarian publication Standart.
Also, according to him, his production company Dream Team allegedly contributed to the Bulgarian performance, which, through producer Ilias Kokotos and composer Dimitris Kontopoulos, prepared the singer Dara.
"Bulgaria is my father's homeland, and it was today, on Dad's birthday, that I decided to close the 'Eurovision' gestalt for myself. I am morally satisfied. I won this contest," Kirkorov wrote.
Dara refuted the Russian singer's involvement in her victory. Among those who helped her, the singer mentioned her label Virginia Records, the public broadcaster BNT, and international producers.
"With all due respect, but Bangaranga was written in 2023 at the Sofia Song Camp," the singer wrote.
Rumors about Kirkorov's involvement in Bulgaria's performance had circulated before, but this is the first time the singer herself has officially responded to them.
