Russia should not expect the lifting of sanctions, said Russian Presidential Aide Maxim Oreshkin at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, RBC writes.
"We need to move away from this exclusively defensive model. In fact, we have already largely moved away from it, and we need to move away more and more. There is no need to expect that something old will return, that Western countries' sanctions will be lifted. The changes taking place are fundamental and global in nature. <…> And therefore, there is no need to expect that something will change, that something will return. It will not return and will not change," Oreshkin said.
"The world as it was before will not return. It is necessary to actively develop on the domestic front," he added.
