In Babruysk, a mother of many children was sentenced to a long term under a drug article
The attempt of a 33-year-old resident of Babruysk, who is raising four children, to earn some quick money ended in tragedy for her family. For agreeing to work as a drug courier for a drug market, the woman received a harsh sentence, even though she didn't succeed in her task.
As the investigation found, the Babruysk resident found a job offer on Telegram, where she was promised easy money for distributing psychotropics. For verification and registration, the woman sent a photo of her passport to her "curator", after which she was instructed. Her first assignment failed because she simply could not find the package of drugs in the specified location.
The woman did not have time to complete the second assignment. She was promised 60-70 dollars for working at the new coordinates. On her way to the hideout, she was detained by police officers. As a result of the search, law enforcement officers confiscated 2.25 grams of a prohibited substance from the cache.
The Babruysk court found the evidence of guilt convincing and found the woman guilty under part four of Article 328 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, sentencing her to 8 years in a general regime correctional facility. The verdict has not yet entered into force.
