The well-known Belarusian company «Santa Bremor» intends to deprive the Russian enterprise «KDV Yashkino» of the rights to the trademark «Top-top». Last year, the owner of the Russian brands «Kirieshki» and «Yashkino» was recognized as an extremist and all assets were confiscated for supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The company «Santa-Bremor» intends to sue «KDV Yashkino» of Russia for the rights to the trademark «Top-top». The Intellectual Property Rights Court in Moscow accepted the corresponding lawsuit for consideration, and the preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 6, writes «Sputnik».

The Belarusian side justifies its claims by stating that this brand has not been used by the Russian owner for a long time.

In Russia, the «Top-top» trademark was registered for a wide range of confectionery products — from waffles to chocolate. The rights to it currently remain with the KDV group, which includes «KDV Yashkino».

In 2025, the Tver Court of Moscow recognized the main owner of the company, billionaire Denis Shtengelov, and his father Nikolai as an «extremist organization» for financing the Ukrainian army, after which their property was confiscated by the state.

According to the investigation, Shtengelov Sr. sponsored the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and his son supported his actions. Both men have been living abroad for more than ten years.

The company «Santa Bremor», owned by Brest businessman Alexander Mashensky, is actively developing its own food production, including a popular series of ice cream under the brand «Top». A successful completion of the lawsuit will allow the Belarusian manufacturer to expand its rights to the similar-sounding brand in the Russian market.
