In Staryya Darohi, sculptures of Vadzianik and Rusalka were installed above the river PHOTOFACT
New art objects have appeared on the bank of the Salyanka river in Staryya Darohi, complementing the already existing water wheel installed earlier, report "Naviny Staradarozhchyny".
The main decoration became two metal figures — "Vadzianik" (Water Spirit) and "Rusalka" (Mermaid). They are located directly above the water and form an entire composition.
The author of these sculptures is the Belarusian artist and sculptor Uladzimir Kanonik from Fanipal. He is known for creating unusual steampunk art objects using scrap metal, old car parts, and other used materials. His works can be seen in other places, including along roads and at gas stations. Staryya Darohi already features one of his works — "Hippocentaur".
The new sculptures quickly became popular: local residents and city guests come to see them, take photos, and share their impressions on social media.
The harp in Vadzianik's hands is conceived not just as decor, but as a small fountain, which further enlivens the entire composition.
As a result, the embankment has become not only a place for recreation but also a modern cultural location that attracts attention and creates a distinctive atmosphere.
