In April, Belarusians bought a record number of new cars
In Belarus, a record growth in new car sales was recorded in April 2026. According to data from the Belarusian Automobile Association, dealers sold about 6.7 thousand passenger cars — this is 17% more than in March.

A particularly noticeable trend is the growing popularity of eco-friendly transport. Almost half of all sales (about 2.8 thousand cars) accounted for electric vehicles and hybrids. Overall, their market share reached 43%, and every third car sold was fully electric.
A significant role in this was played by the domestic manufacturer "Belgee", which set its own record: about 1600 electrified vehicles were sold in April. The most popular model was the Geely EX2 electric hatchback — 740 cars sold.
Overall, the share of locally produced cars approached two-thirds of the market, which is significantly more than a year ago. At the same time, the share of imported cars is gradually decreasing.
