"Came up just a little short." Miroslav Lazovsky's sworn brother on his death

Pavel Shurmei, sworn brother of the fallen Miroslav Lazovsky, told "Belsat" details of the day when the Belarusian warriors died.

"Our guys put up a good fight, inflicted losses on the Russians. They retreated and requested artillery support." According to his words, after this, large shells, about 200-mm, hit the building, causing three floors to collapse.

During the "arrival" (shelling), Lazovsky was nearby at the KNP (command and observation post), Pavel Shurmei recounts. When the wounded were able to communicate what was happening via radio, he immediately began to form a help and evacuation group with allies — the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), with whom the regiment's paramedic was also present. They moved to that location.

Lazovsky directed the evacuation of the wounded, covered them, and carried out weapons. He was the last one to leave and came up just a little short of reaching the KNP."

Former leader of the "White Legion" Miroslav Lazovsky died on May 16 near Bakhmut. Today, he is being bid farewell in Kyiv.
